The selection process has two stages: (1) Written Exam → (2) Skill/Typing Test (35 WPM) → Document Verification. Only those clearing the written exam cut-off move to the typing test.
3 10-Day Last-Minute Prep Plan
Days 1–2 (Apr 9–10)
Revise Computer Section completely. This section is most scoring and directly job-relevant. Cover MS Word, Excel shortcuts, operating system basics, internet & e-mail. Make a 1-page cheat sheet of keyboard shortcuts.
Days 3–4 (Apr 11–12)
J&K General Awareness blitz. Focus on J&K UT administration, districts, important schemes, recent appointments, and geography. March–April 2026 current affairs are high priority.
Day 5 (Apr 13) — Admit Card Day
Download your admit card from jkssb.nic.in. Verify name, roll number, exam centre address. Print 2 copies. Also do a mock test under timed conditions (80 questions / 80 mins).
Days 6–7 (Apr 14–15)
English Grammar & Reasoning. Drill Active-Passive, Direct-Indirect, Prepositions, Error Detection. For Reasoning: Series, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense.
Days 8–9 (Apr 16–17)
Full mock tests + PYQ analysis. Attempt 2–3 full mock tests. Analyse errors. Focus on accuracy — with ¼ negative marking, attempting 65+ correct answers safely is better than attempting 80 blind.
Day 10 (Apr 18) — Exam Eve
Light revision only. Read your cheat sheets, confirm exam centre route, keep documents ready (Admit Card + Photo ID). Sleep early. No new topics today.
