How to Prepare Chemistry for NEET
01
Master Physical Chemistry First
Start with Mole Concept and Stoichiometry — every other Physical Chemistry chapter builds on these two. Solve at least 50 numericals before moving forward.
02
Read Inorganic from NCERT Only
For Inorganic Chemistry, NCERT is the only source you need. Read it line-by-line — NEET questions are often taken verbatim from NCERT paragraphs.
03
Organic: Reactions over Mechanisms
In NEET, knowing named reactions, products, and reagents matters more than detailed mechanisms. Make a dedicated reaction notebook for Organic Chemistry.
04
Revise Formulas Daily
Spend 10 minutes every morning reviewing Physical Chemistry formulas. Molar mass of common compounds, gas laws, and equilibrium expressions must be instant recall.
05
Solve PYQs Chapter by Chapter
After finishing each chapter, immediately solve NEET PYQs from that chapter (2016–2024). Chemistry questions repeat patterns — you will start recognising them.
06
Target 120+ in Chemistry
Chemistry is the most consistent scoring section in NEET. With proper preparation, 120–140 out of 180 is very achievable. It can compensate for a weak Physics performance.
