🎯 How to Prepare the Computer Section
01
Understand definitions, don't just memorise
JKSSB questions often ask "what does X stand for" or "which is NOT an input device." Understanding what a device actually does helps you eliminate wrong options instantly.
02
Master all common abbreviations
At least 2–3 questions in every JKSSB paper are pure abbreviation questions. The abbreviation band above covers every important one. Revise it twice before the exam.
03
Focus on MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint shortcuts
Shortcut key questions are extremely common. Ctrl+S (Save), Ctrl+P (Print), F12 (Save As), Ctrl+Z (Undo), Ctrl+B (Bold) — these come up in nearly every paper. Learn them all.
04
Revise input vs output devices clearly
A classic trap question: "Which of these is an OUTPUT device?" (Answer: Monitor, Printer, Speaker, Plotter). Input: Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Webcam, Microphone.
05
Practice previous year MCQs from this section
Computer questions in JKSSB repeat almost every cycle. After reading each article, attempt the MCQs at the end. The computer section is one of the easiest to score full marks in with consistent practice.
