Prioritise High-Weightage Topics
Four technical subjects carry 20 marks each — Electronics (07), Digital/Microprocessors (08), Communication Systems (09), and Networking (10). Together they form 80 of 140 technical marks. Master these first.
Don't Neglect General Awareness
Part–A carries 60 marks (30% of total). GK & Current Affairs alone is 20 marks — the single highest individual subject. Regular reading of a reliable current affairs source is non-negotiable.
Accuracy Over Attempt Count
With −0.5 negative marking, each wrong answer costs you 2.5 marks in net effect. Focus on high-confidence attempts. Aim for 80–85 questions with 90%+ accuracy rather than attempting all 100.
J&K-Specific Content is Easy Marks
The 10-mark J&K UT section is very focused — History, Geography, Reorganisation Act 2019. With dedicated study of J&K-specific material, you can score near-full marks here reliably.
