How to Get Ahead Right Now
The notification isn't out yet — which means you have a head start. Use this window wisely:
- Start with NCERT foundations — History, Geography, Polity, and Economics. Backbone of both Prelims and Mains.
- Give extra time to J&K specific content — geography, history, culture, and governance. This is where JKPSC differs from UPSC.
- Follow daily current affairs with a J&K lens. Local schemes, appointments, and developments are frequently tested.
- Solve PYQs from 2019–2024 to understand difficulty level and topic weightage. Don't skip CSAT — 33% is non-negotiable.
- Begin answer writing practice for Mains now. One 250-word answer per day builds enormous skill over time.
- Fix your optional subject early. Choose based on your background and start preparation before the notification.
