The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially rescheduled the OMR-Based Written Examination for the post of Junior Assistant (and Junior Scale Stenographer) advertised under Notification No. 08 of 2025 dated 27 September 2025. The exam has now been postponed for the second time — candidates must note the revised date and prepare accordingly.

🎫 Admit Card for Revised Date
JKSSB will release fresh Admit Cards ahead of the 19 April 2026 exam. Download from jkssb.nic.in using your Registration Number and Date of Birth. Check all details (name, category, exam centre, roll number) carefully once downloaded. Carry a printed copy + valid photo ID to the exam hall.

Previous Admit Card invalid: If you downloaded the admit card for the earlier Apr 5 date, that hall ticket is no longer valid. Wait for the fresh admit card to be released for the April 19 examination. Do not appear at the exam centre without the latest hall ticket.

Click on "Admit Card / Hall Ticket" Section
Look for the Admit Card download link under the "What's New" or "Notifications" section. The link will be activated when the board releases it.

Login using your Registration Number (from application form) and Date of Birth to access your admit card.

Verify All Details Carefully
Check your Name, Roll Number, Exam Centre, Date & Time, Category. Any discrepancy should be reported to JKSSB immediately at ssbjk-grievance[at]jk[dot]gov[dot]in.

Print & Keep Ready
Take 2–3 printouts. Carry one to the exam hall along with a valid government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar / Voter Card / Passport / Driving Licence).

⏱️ Exam Duration & Mode
80 Minutes | OMR-Based Offline Exam. One mark per correct answer. Exam conducted at JKSSB designated centres across J&K.
⛔ Negative Marking
0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer. Unattempted questions carry no penalty. Avoid blind guessing.
⌨️ Skill Test (Typing)
Minimum 35 WPM typing speed required (English). Skill test is qualifying + marks-based. Written Exam: 80 marks + Skill Test: 20 marks = 100 marks total.
🎓 Eligibility
Graduate from a recognised university + typewriting knowledge. Age: 18–40 years (with relaxation for reserved categories as per J&K Govt. rules).

🚨 Important Instructions for Exam Day
🆔 Documents to Carry
Printed Admit Card (new) + any one valid photo ID: Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, or Driving Licence. No entry without both.
⏰ Reporting Time
Report to the exam centre at least 30–45 minutes before the scheduled exam time. Latecomers will not be allowed entry after the gate closes.
📵 Prohibited Items
Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, and any electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
✏️ OMR Sheet Filling
Use only a Black/Blue ball-point pen to fill the OMR sheet. Darken circles completely. Avoid overwriting or using whitener — it may lead to disqualification.
